As a CO+I FSE, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
As a successful CO+I CE Field Service Engineer, your success will be measured by:
- Ensures compliance with data center business, service-level, safety, and security policies; promptly escalates and reports issues.
- Participates in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and risk mitigation activities to reduce high-impact and human-error CE incidents.Oversees day-to-day mechanical and electrical operations in leased datacenters, including MOP/SOP/EOP reviews, change governance, audits, and compliance verification.
- Supports Emergency Preparedness and Response plans and acts as an escalation point for facilities-related issues.Builds and maintains strong relationships with Engineering Groups, landlords, and regional/global peers, contributing to MBRs, QBRs, and best-practice sharing.
- Holds self-accountable for end-to-end service quality, availability, safety, security, and overall customer experience, supporting timely escalation to appropriate owners.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services
- Experience in large scale Critical Environment infrastructure projects (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU)
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
